Description:Accountable for warehouse inventory through documentation, procedure verification, and systematicreview. Performs data entry transactions in SAP, to include Goods Receipt and Material Transfers,among others. Completes cycle counts of physical inventory. Analyzes cycle counts, inventorydiscrepancies, material transactions and associated issues. Audits incoming and outgoingtransactions for assurance of quality and accuracy. Willing to learn new processes, makeimprovement suggestions and interact with a variety of personnel.Requirements and skills:• Proven experience in inventory and warehouse operations.• Inventory, Material Accounting, or Cycle Counting experience.• Good organizational and time management skills.• Capable of comprehending shipping, receiving and inventory documentation.• Must have acute attention to detail.• Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word and Outlook specifically.• Familiar with inventory software, databases and systems (SAP for example).• Capable of working cohesively with a dynamic team.• Able to communicate clearly.• Potentially available for after hours on call rotation.• Physically able to withstand heat dust, minor lifting (up to 50 lbs.).1: What is the duration of the assignment? Possibility to extend or bring on permanently? Duration isat least one year with good possibility of extension. (Current contract employees have been with usfor 8 years).2: Will this worker be supporting a specific project, or will this be a position focused more onoperations/support/maintenance/etc.? Worker will be assisting Broussard Shorebase Facilityinventory and warehouse operations in support of multiple GOA facilities.3: What prior background should this worker have? A background in inventory procedures,warehouse operations, and Shipping / Receiving.4: Do they need experience with the any specific systems/software? Experience in Microsoft Officesuite, particularly Excel, is a must. SAP or other warehouse management system experience alsorequired.5: Where does the contractor need to be located? Is remote work a possibility? This is not a remoteposition. Worker must have a way of getting to work at the BSF (located in Broussard, LA) Mondaythrough Friday from 0700 - 1600 (1 hour lunch).6: Is overtime expected? Overtime is not regularly expected but does occur occasionally.7: What certifications/degrees are required, if any? No degree necessary. Individual will be forkliftand overhead crane certified through OXY upon hire.
