Solids Controls Tech

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Solids Hand for an upcoming project in Carrizo Springs, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and maintaining solids control equipment, with specific experience working with Vertical Cutting Dryers (VCDs). This is a field-based role supporting drilling operations and ensuring efficient solids control performance on location.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain solids control equipment during drilling operations.
• Operate and troubleshoot Vertical Cutting Dryers (VCDs).
• Ensure proper separation and processing of drilling fluids and cuttings.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and report operational issues promptly.
• Follow all company and client HSE policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on location.
• Complete required operational reports and documentation.
• Work closely with drilling crews and other field personnel to support efficient operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Solids Hand on drilling or completion operations.
• Required: Experience operating Vertical Cutting Dryers (VCDs).
• Strong understanding of solids control equipment and processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all HSE standards.
• Ability to work rotational schedules and extended hours as required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in South Texas drilling operations.
• Solids control certifications or related industry training.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.
