No Per Diem or Travel allowances.
Hiring Multiple Positions- Site Inspectors Level 1, 2 and 3.
Must have upstream oil and gas experience.
Seeking Electrical Experience: Overhead Distribution, transmission, or substation experience.
Description:
MAIN FUNCTIONS
The Site Inspector, regardless of discipline, functions as a member of the Project Inspection Quality Assurance Team. Each discipline inspector will monitor, assess and verify quality inspection activities performed by the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor(s) on the Project. The Site Inspector (SI) will be expected to assist the Contractor to successfully implement its approved Quality Plan, ITPs and control procedures to ensure the equipment and materials supplied to and installed at the job site meet all specification and statutory requirements.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement the Project - Site Inspection Surveillance Plan within the sub-project(s), where necessary;
• Assist in the initial assessment of the Contractor’s Quality Program, control procedures and ITPs as they relate to this specific discipline;
• Perform periodic assessments and verification of Contractor’s inspection of:
o Site preparation and earthworks
o Ditch works for undergrounds and backfill
o Tank foundation beds and dikes
o Concrete pre-pour, pouring and post-pour activities including laboratory testing
o Grouting
o Structural steel erection and welding
o Any other Civil works not listed above
o Infrastructure works
o Architectural works
• Monitor Contractor to ensure resolution of DR/NCR/CAR’s in a timely manner;
• Verify resolutions for DR/NCR/CAR’s are in accordance with authorized dispositions;
• Verify Contractor is obtaining the proper permits required for the work;
• Witness selected testing and Hold Point as indicated in the Contractor’s ITPs;
• Review selected Contractor inspection documents for completion and correctness;
• Participate as an observer in selected Contractor internal audits;
• Participate in punch-list preparation prior to final acceptance for turnover;
• Participate in verification of completion of punch-list items prior to turnover;
• Review selected Contractor final documentation packages;
• Advise and inform the Site Quality Assurance Lead (SQAL) on Quality issues, status and metrics;
• Provide other Quality Assurance (QA) support as necessary to the Project Management Team (PMT)
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience executing quality assurance/control of engineering, procurement, or construction activities
• Technical training or high school diploma.
• Technical discipline certifications commensurate with work experience.
• Willing and able to business travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites to provide various levels of support
• Candidate must be able to integrate well into team, accept decisions, quickly learn job specification and function effectively.
Site Inspector Level II
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2:
• Perform discipline quality inspection activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan
• Keep Quality supervision updated with status of quality issues
• Monitor production processes and perform surveillance activities
• Review and evaluate Contractor’s and Suppliers’ quality documents for accuracy and adequacy
• Support Mechanical Completion process
• Experience executing quality assurance/control of engineering, procurement, or construction activities
• Technical training or high school diploma.
• Technical discipline certifications commensurate with work experience.
• Willing and able to business travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites to provide various levels of support
• Candidate must be able to integrate well into team, accept decisions, quickly learn job specification and function effectively;
Site Inspector Level III
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to all Level 1 and 2 tasks and responsibilities, Level 3:
• Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems
• Attend and contribute to kick-off, pre-inspection and alignment meetings as necessary
• Confirm readiness to work, including evaluating the status of key documents
• Monitor Contractor’s and Suppliers’ quality assurance and quality control activities
• Perform assessments of the Contractor’s and Suppliers’ quality processes and procedures
• Perform inspections and verifications during construction and/or fabrication activities in accordance with requirements of the Inspection and Test Plans
• Witness Contractor’s activities and endorse Contractor’s and Suppliers’ quality records, as appropriate
• Witness acceptance tests and perform final quality check prior to acceptance of equipment and materials, as appropriate
• Steward non-conformance within scope of responsibility
• Provide early warning of potential quality problems
