Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Project Controls Professionals (Level I, II, or III) to support major capital projects by providing leadership in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, progress measurement, estimating, and change management. This role will work closely with project teams to ensure effective project execution, accurate reporting, and successful delivery of project objectives.

We are seeking experienced Project Controls Professionals (Level I, II, or III) to support major capital projects by providing leadership in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, progress measurement, estimating, and change management. This role will work closely with project teams to ensure effective project execution, accurate reporting, and successful delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project controls activities including cost, schedule, progress measurement, forecasting, and change management.
- Develop and maintain Project Controls Plans and Management of Change (MOC) Plans.
- Support project teams with budgeting, cost analysis, schedule analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Coordinate estimating, planning, scheduling, and cost control activities across multiple project phases.
- Maintain project budgets, cost breakdown structures (CBS), control budgets, and master schedules.
- Prepare cost and schedule forecasts while identifying risks, trends, and potential issues.
- Facilitate monthly stewardship reviews and project performance assessments.
- Administer the Management of Change process and support opportunities and vulnerabilities reviews.
- Interface with finance and project stakeholders on budgets, AFEs, invoices, and work-in-place reporting.
- Participate in bid evaluations, contract budgeting, and schedule development.
- Support gate reviews, advance commitment reviews, and project funding activities.
- Coordinate development of estimate confidence packages and estimate development plans.
- Deliver project controls reporting and analysis to project management teams and stakeholders.
- Support project closeout activities and final reporting requirements.
- Review contractor cost, schedule, and progress performance against established baselines.
- Evaluate contractor change orders, forecasts, and recovery plans.
- Ensure contractors apply effective project controls procedures and standards.
- Manage project controls resources and serve as a central liaison between project teams and stakeholders.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to project controls personnel and planners.
- Drive continuous improvement and capital efficiency initiatives across supported projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Significant project controls experience with demonstrated success in cost and schedule management.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, mentoring, and influencing skills.
- Adaptable and responsive to changing project requirements.
- Professional certifications such as Primavera, PMI, AACE, or similar.
- Experience supporting large capital projects in industrial, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction environments.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks, stage-gate processes, and best practices.
- Experience with estimating, planning, cost forecasting, earned value management, and management of change processes.
- Willingness to support domestic or international project assignments and potential site relocation requirements.
- Resume experience must accurately reflect project controls responsibilities and accomplishments.
- Proven track record in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and project reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of a degree.
