Key Responsibilities
- Monitor wells, facilities, and compressors during night operations
- Identify shut-ins, production losses, and abnormal operating conditions
- Troubleshoot and return wells, facilities, and compressors back online
- Oversee the entire field at night, including multiple routes simultaneously
- Prioritize higher-risk or higher-impact production issues
- Perform startup and shutdown activities for equipment as needed
- Document and report all actions, issues, and resolutions during the shift
- Coordinate with dispatch and field teams as needed
- Maintain safety compliance, including use of gas monitoring equipment
Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Operational Skills (Core)
Field Production Operations
Well monitoring and troubleshooting
- Ability to independently identify shut ins, production loss, abnormal pressures, or flow issues and take corrective action without direct supervision during night hours.
- Strong hands-on capability to safely bring wells, facilities, and compressors back online after trips, shutdowns, or mechanical issues.
- Experience overseeing multiple production routes simultaneously, prioritizing issues based on production impact, safety risk, and urgency.
Compression & Gas Systems Expertise
Compressor operations
- Proficient in startup, shutdown, maintenance, and troubleshooting of compressors, including recognizing suction and discharge issues.
- Understanding of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to prevent liquid carryover and equipment damage.
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot fuel gas supply to ensure reliable compressor and heater operations.
Facilities & Process Equipment
Separators (High- and Low-Pressure)
- Knowledge of normal operating conditions, pressure control, and common failure points.
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and safely perform startups and shutdowns.
- Experience with cooler operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
- Functional understanding of blowcase operation and troubleshooting for liquids handling.
Chemical & Treating Systems
Chemical loop systems
- Ability to monitor injection systems, pumps, and chemical flow for effective treating.
- Knowledge of treating processes, chemical handling, and system troubleshooting.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting flash gas handling systems.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various pumps used throughout facilities.
- Familiarity with UF operation, routine troubleshooting, and failure indicators.

Tank level management
- Monitoring and controlling tank levels to prevent overfills, downtime, or environmental issues.
- Understanding when and how to recirculate tank bottoms as required by operational conditions.
- Operation and maintenance knowledge to manage solids effectively.
Downhole & Lift Systems
Gas lift valve operations
- Experience diagnosing production loss related to downhole gas lift issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to distinguish surface versus downhole problems during night operations.
