Job Title: Planning and Scheduling Lead II 

Position Overview: The Planning and Scheduling Lead (PL) is a subject matter expert in project scheduling, control, and forecasting. This role is responsible for evaluating both contractor and internal schedules to ensure they are logical, detailed, and aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Current Control Estimate, and overall Project Plan. The PL defines schedule deliverable requirements and frequencies, aiming to identify trends and deviations early to support proactive project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and expertise in project scheduling, progress measurement, and change management.
  • Oversee contractor scheduling practices, ensuring alignment with project expectations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain integrated Level 1 and Level 2 project schedules.
  • Review and endorse contractor-prepared schedule baselines and forecasts.
  • Advise the Project Controls Lead and Project Leadership Team on potential schedule risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and incorporate the impact of approved changes into the project schedule.
  • Monitor and report on schedule implications of project changes and contractor proposals.
  • Ensure contractor schedules align with external dependencies such as permitting and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the project team with schedule analysis, forecasting, and progress reporting.
  • Lead the development of contract control schedules and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure integration of subcontractor schedules and progress measurement systems.
  • Analyze schedule trends and performance to support decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Participate in bid evaluations related to scheduling.
  • Provide guidance to both internal and contractor scheduling personnel on best practices and expectations.
  • Contribute to lessons learned related to scheduling and progress tracking.
  • Maintain strong communication with functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Promote capital efficiency across all assigned projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Background in Project Controls, Project Services, or Planning/Scheduling.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Willingness to work internationally and relocate to project sites as needed.
  • Strong analytical, consulting, and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
