We are seeking a highly motivated E&I Construction Specialist IV to join our dynamic Field Construction team based in Kermit, Texas, supporting operations in the Orla/Mentone area.

The E&I Construction Specialist IV will provide field-based oversight and technical expertise for electrical and instrumentation (E&I) construction activities supporting upstream operations. This role ensures all E&I installations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation construction within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices (NEC, API, ISA, IEEE, etc.).
  • Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and system design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple field projects with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in remote field environments.
Responsibilities 1. System Planning and Design
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed plans and documentation for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Ensure all designs align with project objectives, company standards, and applicable safety and operational requirements.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and design packages for constructability and field implementation.
2. Construction Oversight
  • Supervise and coordinate field installation activities, including cable routing, conduit installation, equipment mounting, terminations, and wiring.
  • Monitor daily progress, quality, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Perform field inspections and validate as-built documentation.
  • Identify and address potential field issues to minimize rework and delays.
3. Safety and Compliance
  • Promote a strong safety culture on all job sites.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure contractor compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Verify adherence to applicable industry codes and standards (NEC, API, IEEE, etc.).
4. Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineers, construction managers, operations, and contractors to resolve technical and execution challenges.
  • Support commissioning and start-up teams to ensure smooth transition from construction to operations.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders.
