Job Title: Instrument & Controls Technician – AK Operations
Job Summary: The Instrument & Controls (I&C) Technician is responsible for performing both planned and unplanned maintenance and repair activities across Pikka Facilities. This includes a wide range of electrical equipment, process control systems, and safety systems. The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with planners and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, automation, and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Asset Planner (IAP) and I&C Lead to plan and prioritize work.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
  • Monitor, maintain, and repair systems including:
    • Gas and oil treating units
    • Water injection facilities
    • Electric-driven compressors
    • Heater treaters and stabilizers
    • TEG dehydration units
    • LACT skids and product tankage
  • Oversee and coordinate contractor activities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Preferred: Certification, license, or completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • Experience with work management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
  • Proficiency in mechanical equipment and automation/instrumentation systems.
  • Valid state driver’s license for operating mobile equipment.
Work Conditions:
  • Willing and able to work a 12-hour day/night shift on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule.
  • Position is based on the North Slope of Alaska.
  • Must reside in, relocate to, or commute to Anchorage, AK without company assistance.
  • Capable of lifting/carrying items up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Able to work in various physical postures including kneeling, squatting, crawling, and climbing.
  • Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, high noise areas, and environments with dust and fumes.
  • Willing to assist other facility and field technicians as needed.
