Electrical Maintenance Technician III
Overview We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician (Level 3) to support day‑to‑day field electrical activities, including electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and electrical isolation/LOTO. This role performs hands‑on work on lighting systems, HVAC equipment, motors, and other industrial electrical systems in active plant environments.
Level 3 technicians are expected to work independently, solve complex issues, and provide guidance to junior team members.

This role performs hands‑on work on lighting systems, HVAC equipment, motors, and other industrial electrical systems in active plant environments.
Level 3 technicians are expected to work independently, solve complex issues, and provide guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities Primary Functions
- Perform field electrical maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting.
- Execute electrical isolation procedures and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) for all assigned work.
- Maintain lighting systems, HVAC/air handling units, motors, and related electrical equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 personnel.
- Assemble, test, modify, and repair electrical machinery, control equipment, and electrical circuitry.
- Diagnose equipment failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and complete corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Document maintenance activities, record equipment data, and recommend repairs or replacement.
- Work closely with supervisors, operations, and engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable equipment performance.
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance.
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Motor controls, VFDs, starters
- Lighting circuits and fixtures
- HVAC electrical components
- Control panels, junction boxes, electrical terminations
- Strong understanding of LOTO, electrical safety, and isolation procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one‑lines, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
- Effective communication skills and ability to give clear field feedback.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and high‑volume workloads.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
- High-Voltage (HV) Power Transmission & Distribution
- Electrical Dispatch Operations
- SCADA/HMI platforms: Ignition, Wonderware, GE, ABB Xenon, Aspentech Monarch
- SeeQ analytics software
- Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (I&C/E) exposure
- Experience in midstream, refining, petrochemical, or industrial facilities
- Industrial/plant setting
- Requires adherence to strict safety procedures
- May include after-hours or on-call work depending on operational needs
