Position Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support a major compressor station reconstruction project. This role will oversee and monitor EPC contractors responsible for rebuilding compressor stations following a significant incident. The ideal candidate will have experience in the oil & gas, pipeline, or midstream industry and be comfortable traveling to project sites in Houma, Louisiana on a recurring basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and oversee EPC contractor activities to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Provide electrical engineering support during the reconstruction and commissioning of compressor station facilities.
  • Review electrical design packages, construction progress, and field execution activities.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, contractors, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Support project reporting, documentation, and progress tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting compressor stations, pipeline facilities, midstream assets, or industrial construction projects.
  • Prior experience working with or familiarity with MAXIMO (maintenance/manufacturing database software) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project execution, construction oversight, and field engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Travel Requirements

  • Candidates must be willing to travel from Houston to Houma, Louisiana as needed for project support. Preference will be given to candidates who can travel at least once per month, with the potential for more frequent site visits depending on project needs.
Project Details

  • 1-year contract assignment with a strong possibility of extension based on project demands and performance.
