DESIGNER
Position Overview and Responsibilities
• Responsible for performing a variety of routine assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including but not limited to drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components, refining rough sketches, performing field walk downs and inventories, coordinating with Engineering leads across all disciplines.
• Produce complete plans, 3D models, isometrics, schematics from verbal or written description from registered professionals.
• Understand and work to project deadlines and budgets
• Apply formulas, principles and practices and be familiar with industry governing standards such
API, ASME, PIP, etc..
• Understanding of theory and practices of selected discipline; competent in the fundamental
concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating
related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Associates degree or related field experience in detailing and design.
• 5 years of experinece as a drafter/designer
• Administrative knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, Navisworks, other
• Administrative knowledge of relevant softwares
• Ability to lead and advance CAD application tools, department standards, and procedures.
• Able to work from Engineering information and execute a project.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Analysis, design layout and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Previous related consulting experience preferred.
