 This individual performs the document management operational activities as established by the business unit and
is responsible for deploying the document management governance in the business unit. The
expectation is that this consultant will help the Gulf of Mexico team to reorganize the function, put in
place all the global procedures, work in a more efficient way, implement best practices and
document all the processes.

Role and Responsibilities
• Apply the model of information established in E&P and organize the technical documents of
the BU according to the document management plan. With the support of the business unit's
technical discipline references/referent, and following the existent methodology, the
coordinator will identify, organize, and catalog the different types of technical documents to
guarantee their proper accessibility and retrieval upon storage.
• Manage and incorporate E&P documentation in the corporate document management
systems by assigning information (metadata and taxonomy) and content (capture and
process images), in collaboration with the IM BU referent, to ensure that the BU areas
provide the proper information and support.
• Manage complex data cleansing for the different types of documents and repositories,
identify and eliminate redundant data in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Prepare and submit massive loading forms for each data platform.
• Manage and maintain security (give/modify access) and metadata (add/remove/modify
values) and collaborate in functional or technological requirements for new tools.
• Apply the company norms and procedures related to document management, including
information security (confidentiality, integrity, availability, and authentication).
• Identify security measures for accessing documents and preventing information leaks.
• Apply the existent methodology of quality assurance, and the different rights of use and
government regulations ensuring document control.
• Develop and implement methodologies aligned with corporate and international standards
(ISO, PPDM, DAMA) and other relevant industry standards, establishing key performance
indicators.
• Identify possible integrations between the existent document management systems and
other applications or corporate databases that could benefit document management.
• Follow processes, procedures, and guidelines for document management; define and
establish the required document management workflows and between the different BU
technical disciplines.
• Provide BU members and subcontractors with adequate training and support in the use of
the corporate document management systems. Coach the technical teams through the
document workflows. Advise the BU on the training needs.
• Verify that the Document Lifecycle for E&P Technical Documents and associated processes
for creating, managing, distributing and archiving the technical documents of the BU are
being followed.
• Detect risks and anticipate consequences of a poor document management in the BU, in
terms of cost, compliance and corporate reputation.

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor of Science in Geology
• Minimum of 20 years document control experience including both design and operation for
extraordinarily large volumes of data.
• Minimum of 15 years of oil and gas experience
• Significant Master data management (MDM) and architecture experience.
• Experience in Documentum.
• Experience and advanced skills in SharePoint.
• Experience and advanced Excel skills for analyzing data.
• Proficient with O365 applications, TEAMS collaboration, and office administrative practices and
procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in any o the subsurface disciplines (Reservoir Engineering, Geology or Petrophysics) is
highly valuable.
• Experience supporting engineering teams is valuable.
• Experience utilizing the following software applications: GeoFrame, Petrel, geology, Oracle DBA, SQL
• Experience in computer systems (PC and LINUX)
• Experience in a field office is valuable.
• Specialized in petro technical software and data management integration solution.
