A major oil and gas operator is looking for an HSE Advisor III to support operations in Midland, TX on a one-year contract basis with the potential for extension. Schedule is M-F working 8 hr days, 40 hrs a week. This position will support the Supply Chain Management function, specifically the Logistics and Materials Management teams. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Position is accountable for supporting efforts to prevent incidents with a heavy focus on eliminating significant incidents and fatalities through providing guidance on implementation and execution of HSE process and procedures that comply with state and federal HSE regulatory requirements and company policy/programs.
  • Position is also responsible for identifying HSE gaps, developing solutions and support the implementation of improvement plans.
  • Position will be expected to spend time coaching, collaborating and supporting the Materials Management and Logistics teams with achieving OE deliverables.
  • Specific areas of focus include Motor Vehicle Safety, Material Transfer, Material handling, lifting and rigging as well as incident investigations.


Requirements:
  • Candidate must be able to form strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and peers.
  • Position will require strong communication (written and verbal) with an ability to work across multiple teams and layers of the organization.
  • Experience interpreting Federal and State regulations.
  • Experience with heavy haul vehicles, vacuum trucks, hydro-excavators preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with HSE needs of warehouses preferred, but not required.
