A major oil and gas operator is looking for an HSE Advisor III to support operations in Houston, TX on a M-F schedule working 8 hrs a day, 40 hrs a week. This is a contract position with the potential for extension.
The position supports the Gulf of Mexico as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance reporting to the Director of Environment and Sustainability.

The position supports the Gulf of Mexico as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance reporting to the Director of Environment and Sustainability.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive cross-functional teamwork to ensure compliance with local regulations and internal procedures;
- Develop, deploy, and sustain Environmental guidelines, procedures, and practices
- Work with the Operations, Projects, Facilities, Drilling and Completions teams and contractors, and sub-contractors to review EH&S programs and procedures
- Manage offshore National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program for vessels and platform
- Work with operations to ensure that hazardous and oilfield specific wastes are managed according to federal and state regulations
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and maintain knowledge of existing and proposed regulations
- Coordinate other Environmental planning tasks, meeting preparation, data analysis and reports as required by leadership
- Serve as a subject matter expert by contributing both ideas and expertise in the development of Environmental training and role specific competencies
