A major oil and gas is looking for a Global HR Senior Analyst to support operations on a 6-month contract basis with the potential for extension. Schedule is M-F working 8 hrs a day, 40 hrs a week.
The Global HR Senior Analyst will be a member of the Human Resources Global Mobility team and will be based in Houston, Texas. The role will serve as the company’s centralized Global HR function to provide global support to new expats, managing assignments in progress, and support with repatriation efforts as end-to-end on a wide range of expatriate processes across the company’s global operations. The Global HR Senior Analyst will report to the Global HR Lead in Houston and be able to work independently in various global time zone settings and produce a high quality of work. This role will support the global application of the company's expatriate policies and will serve as a primary resource with the coordination of elements of expatriate tax authorization, relocation service authorization and immigration applications by liaising with expatriates throughout the duration of their assignments. Responsibilities will include:
• Providing day-to-day support to global expatriate assignees and human resources department
• Administration of the company’s expatriate assignment policy, relocation policy and tax policy and any local modifications to the global policy through a standardized application consistent with the intent of the core policies
• Interpret, educate, and coach assignees and line management on the policies and process
• Coordinate the process of preparation of assignment letters; compensation worksheets, visas and work permits; global relocation process; maintaining regular communication with the global assignee and family
• Analyze people cost recovery while following a data driven approach to enhance the decision making
• Maintain data, reporting, and analysis on routine expat processes to efficiently administer the program relating to assignment initiations, repatriations, work permit and visa applications and extensions
• Support with US immigration applications through partnership with the company’s designated immigration provided
• Prepare budget reports on expatriate expenses
• Process relocation, tax and other vendor invoices
• Assist with on boarding of new expatriates
• Assist employees with questions relating to pay and attendance.
• Assist with year-end payroll questions
• Maintain employee files for payroll
• Perform other duties as assigned by Global HR Lead
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
• Minimum of seven years of Expatriate assignment administration or related HR experience
• General background and knowledge of International Human Resources fundamentals, including tax equalization, relocation benefits, assignment allowances, immigration requirements
• Experience in multinational corporations and specifically in management of a global mobility program
• Experience in corporate life and dealing with expatriates
• Ability to navigate and progress the goals of the department with an understanding of the varied stakeholders including decision makers in order to allow for the seamless management of the expat population
• Demonstrated interpersonal relations, global cultural awareness, and written/oral communication skills
• Team player with demonstrated ability to work with all levels within the organization
• Willing to occasionally travel globally
• Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and project management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Must have a solid understanding of a variety of software applications and web-based technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Business or related field
