Role and Responsibilities:
•Facilities Engineer responsible for engineering technical oversight of GOM deepwater asset(s)
•Accountable for project execution from inception to completion
•Coordination of projects with Asset and Operations teams to meet business goals and objectives
•Project identification and definition – process optimization, reliability, operability, asset integrity, downtime reduction, production increase
•Preparation of accurate cost and schedule estimates in conjunction with required stakeholders
•Management of project scopes, schedules and budgets according to strategic business plans, including progress and cost reporting to upper management
•Management of engineering efforts, including supervision of 3rd Party engineering contractors
•Assessment and management of risks associated with project development and brownfield operations
•Adherence to the management of change process
•Coordination and management of facility construction campaigns, including planning, execution, reporting and downtime required
•Coordination of interfaces between topsides, marine, subsea, drilling, operations, and regulatory
•Development of relationships with contractors, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to enable strong project deliveries and effective problem resolution
•Deliver (and exceed) the objectives and goals developed by the Facilities Engineering and Construction team
•Offshore trips to support planning and installation activities, as required
•Support development of facilities standards that would benefit the entire organization
•Provide HSE leadership

Education:
•BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
Professional/Technical Knowledge:
•Involvement with applicable professional organizations
•Familiar and Knowledgeable in GOM Industry standards
Experience:
•Candidates must have at least 5+ years of Gulf of Mexico Facility Engineering experience
•Candidates must have experience working for, or in contractor role on behalf of, Operator Company
•Candidates must have experience with managing 3rd party engineering contractors

Skills & Competencies:
•High level communication skills
•Extensive knowledge of MOCs, HAZOPs and PSSRs
•Expertise in project management principles including estimating, scheduling, and implementation
•Knowledge of subsea, marine, operations, and drilling/completions disciplines
•Understands and demonstrates sound working knowledge of basic technical principles, has applied them to solve routine problems.
•Can prepare detailed recommendations, memos, and reports on technical issues & decisions; can make significant contributions to key technical documents.
•Provides mentoring to asset or project team members on technical matters.
•Focuses efforts on solving relevant business problems with occasional guidance from others.
•Helps/works with others to solve routine and more complex problems.
•Asks probing, thought-provoking questions and is engaged in meetings.
•Proactive in seeking assistance from experts on technical matters.
•Understands and effectively represents asset & business problems to contractors, vendors, partners, and external groups.
•Prepares and effectively delivers detailed technical presentations to co-workers, partners and management.
•Routinely suggests solutions (outside asset team) on technical issues.
•Increasingly assumes leading role in technical discussions and knowledge transfer. Begins to participate across multiple assets in processes such as Peer Reviews, CoP's, etc.
•Increasingly understands economics and financial basis of the corporation.
•Can participate in multiple projects simultaneously across different functional areas.
