E-tech Job Description
  • Must be able to repair company electrical equipment and automation systems
  • Must be able to use electric meters that measure voltage, amperage and 4-20mA signals
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and maintain 12 and 24 DC volt systems along with low voltage AC systems from 120 V to 480 V
  • Must be able to perform emergency repairs when needed
  • Must be able to be on call
  • Knowledge of all cable types
  • Must be able to build cables
  • Must be able to solder
  • Must know control systems
  • Must be able to troubleshoot control systems
  • Must know communication basics of Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP and Profibus
  • Must be able to calibrate, replace and troubleshoot all sensors on equipment
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
  • Must be able to set up IP addresses
  • Must understand variable frequency drives (VFD’s) and how they function
  • Must be able to program VFD’s and set up communications with PLC
  • Must understand basics of PLC’s and HMI’s and be able to check communications between them
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 1-2 years experience
