A major oil and gas operator is looking for a Construction Facility Inspector to support operations in New Town, North Dakota on a 6 days on, 1 day off schedule working 10 hrs a day. This is a 12-month contract assignment with the potential for extension. 

This position will provide direct oversight to contractor personnel working on facility construction (90% field, 10% office). It will also provide daily inspection and tracking of work to ensure quality control The work includes supervisory and coordination responsibilities involving construction and turnaround activities. It will be supporting the ND Bakken Asset Team in supervising the construction and commissioning of retrofit well site production facilities. This position places a very high value on safety culture and performance to ensure sustainable, strong HES performance on projects and operations & maintenance activities.

• Sets clear HES&S performance expectations with all contractors working on facilities. Ensure all HES&S policies and procedures are understood and maintained within construction activities.
• Enforces all safety and administrative policies, procedures, and contract agreements.
• Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, SCADA and Production contractors in the day-to-day activities for the retrofit construction of oil production facilities. 
• Ensure the safest, most efficient, timely completion of tasks according to policies and specifications.
• Assist Construction Supervisor and Leads in planning and scheduling of construction activities for individual projects.
• Works directly with Construction Leads to ensure standardization of construction.
• Responsible for project from start to finish. Will be onsite each day and coordinate project with other operations from shut in to start up.
• Coordinate day to day construction activities and materials to streamline projects and minimize production downtime.
• Responsible for project schedule and ensures sufficiency of manpower and equipment to meet planned progress.
• Continually look for ways to improve schedules.
• Provides daily reporting of progress, manpower and equipment.
• Assist engineering in design reviews to build efficiencies in the construction designs and process.
• Provide coordination and oversite of multiple contractors and trades to maximize construction efficiency.
• Coordinate walkthroughs and PSSR’s with all groups.
• Coordinate simultaneous operations with Drilling, Completions, and Work Over to ensure a safe working environment.
• Verify accuracy of material lists and equipment requirements of each job to ensure necessary materials are on site. Oversee the proper handling andreporting of purchased materials.
• Ensure all jobs are performed in accordance with engineering specifications, procedure, and codes.
• Maintain up to date red line drawings to capture all field changes during construction.
• Complete all facility PSSR and equipment tracking documentation for facilities.
• Assist Operations in the maintenance of the equipment within the producing field facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills will be required.

Experience Required:
• At least 5 years’ experience with Oilfield Facility Construction.
• Proficient in reading and understanding Mechanical and Electrical engineered drawings and P&ID’s
• Experienced in construction inspection.
• Experience in as-built redlining drawings.
• Construction project supervision experience is preferred.
• Computer proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, SAP Maintenance Management Software
