Job Description:
This position is an associate level position reporting to the Joint Interest Accounting Supervisor within the Accounting Organization and will be responsible primarily for managing the cash application for joint interest owners in Bakken, Eagle Ford, Oklahoma and Permian asset areas. This person will need to demonstrate problem solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to realize department deliverables and goals with aggressive deadlines.
Responsibilities
• Work with banking institute to extract daily check transmittals and files
• Record cash in SAP to customer account.
• Record cash in SAP to customer account at a joint venture / month level.
• Support efforts to reconcile accounts from cash postings.
• Correspond or speak with owners on a professional level.
• Set up master data if required.
• Interact positively with other personnel.
• Demonstrate initiative in seeking additional responsibility.
• Bring ideas that promote sound recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Eligibility
• Degree: Associate preferred
• Computer Proficiencies: Excel
• Work Experience: Oil and Gas, Accounting and SAP related work experience a plus
