Description:
This position will be responsible for the design support, equipment specification support, installation, programming, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation equipment in order to improve production facilities and oilfield system operations/uptime focusing on efficiencies to reduce operating costs.
Qualifications
• 1-3 years oilfield experience with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the general public
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Available to work weekends and an afterhours call out rotation
• Work in all types of weather conditions
• Able to travel with overnight stays
• Stay current on all assigned Learning Management System (LMS) assignments
• Able to perform general configuration work: setup and calibrations of temperature shutdowns, pressure switches, pressure transmitters, level shutdowns and other associated end devices
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley Control and Compact Logix control systems
• Able to calibrate and troubleshoot complex PLC programs, RTUs and HMIs
• Skillful at learning diverse automation software applications, using test equipment such as voltage, current, amp meters (Fluke 789), HART Communicator, etc.
• Understanding of pneumatic instrumentation: calibration and maintenance
• Proficient in reading engineering documents such as Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Cause & Effects (C&Es), Control Narratives, Wiring Diagrams and identify components, and understanding their functions
• Strong working knowledge of process flow and safety
• Possess computer skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
